Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make this simple yet tasty quiche:
- Vegetable Oil: For sautéing the onions and spinach.
- Onion: Adds sweetness and depth to the flavor.
- Frozen Chopped Spinach: Convenient and easy to work with, but fresh spinach works too!
- Eggs: The base for the filling, providing protein and structure.
- Salt and Pepper: For seasoning.
- Muenster Cheese: This cheese melts beautifully, giving the quiche a rich, creamy texture.
(Note: Check the recipe card below for exact measurements!)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan or quiche dish to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat some vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the thawed, squeezed spinach, and cook for another 5 minutes to allow the excess moisture to evaporate.
Step 3: Make the Egg Mixture
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, and pepper until well combined. Add the sautéed spinach and onion mixture, along with the shredded Muenster cheese. Stir everything until evenly mixed.
Step 4: Bake the Quiche
Pour the egg mixture into the prepared pie pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown on top. The eggs should be firm, and the edges slightly crispy.
Step 5: Cool and Serve
Once done, remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. This helps the quiche set and makes it easier to slice. Serve it warm!

Make-Ahead and Storage Tips
Make-Ahead
If you’re short on time, you can prepare the quiche filling in advance and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours. When you’re ready to bake, just pour it into the pan and pop it in the oven.
Storing Leftovers
Store leftover quiche in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Simply cover it with plastic wrap or foil to keep it fresh.
Reheating
To reheat, place the quiche in a low-temperature oven (around 300°F) or use the microwave. You’ll want to warm it through without overcooking.
